Hi I'm Haley

I am a college student. I'm a Network Engineer. I'm Mormon. :)

About Me

Hi! I'm Haley and I am a college student in the United States. I am majoring in Information Technology. I have always liked technology and the important role it plays in the world. I love to hang out with my friends. We like stand up and improv comedy shows and going out to eat at new places.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Some people may think that this means I have never questioned my beliefs. I have, for myself, come to know that this church is true. When I was younger I distinctly remember questioning why I come to church. I remembered all of the good feelings that I had felt throughout my childhood of the principles of Jesus Christ's gospel that were taught to me and made the decision for myself to be a part of this church. I have sought out answers to my questions and asked others about their churches. I have prayed and come to know, with a surety, that this is the true church. I love the gospel and the many blessings I have seen in my life from it.

How I live my faith

I know that some people may think that Mormons have too many rules. I am not one who likes to be constrained, but as I grew up in the church I recognized the good intentions of the standards that are set for our members. I realized that these rules are not to confine me, but to provide more opportunities for me in the future and to keep me from the consequences of sin. I saw that my life would be wonderful if I committed to do simple things like not partake of drugs or alcohol, not swear, and to dress in a respectful manner. I have seen so many blessings from making a promise to myself to keep these standards for myself. I am not in danger of addiction, bankruptcy, unplanned pregnancy, or poisoning my body. Among these and other benefits, I have seen the Lord bless me for being diligent in my standards. In my ward, I served as a women's teacher. I taught lessons about principles of the gospel such as temple marriage and gaining a testimony. Doing so strengthened my testimony of the gospel and how much it can benefit my life and the lives of others.
