Hi I'm Alethea

I am a wife, a mother. I am a daughter, a sister. I am a friend, a neighbor. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of four miracle children. After four years of marriage, my husband and I found that we couldn't conceive without the assistance of in-vitro fertilization. We were blessed to have our first two children with the help of the specialist. Nine months after our second child was born I found out I was pregnant again. It was a miracle and a blessing in our lives. Five and a half years, almost to the day, we were surprised again with the addition of our fourth child. Infertility is something I know a lot of people struggle with, and after going through it myself, I know how it feels to wonder if you will ever be a mother. Having a child was never a part of a checklist for me. Being able to raise my children and teach them the value of a good life, good choices, hard work, a love of their Savior, and how much He loves them, are how I have always wanted to spend my time. Thinking I wouldn't be able to do that was heart-breaking. However, I knew that my Father in Heaven had a plan for me and I needed to rely on him. I am grateful for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a great love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love knowing that I can walk into any chapel around the globe and feel at home, because it is Christ's church here on earth. I love the principles I have been taught, and that I can teach to my children. I love that the family is the center of this existence, and that we can be a family for the eternities. I love that the Book of Mormon was written by the inhabitants of the American continents. It shows me that my Heavenly Father is aware of all of His children and has a plan for each of us. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know that He loves me. I know that if I ask, He will guide me in all things.

How I live my faith

I live this Gospel of Christ by first teaching my children to know their Savior. I also work with the youth, ages 12-18, and the adults that lead them. I am so grateful to see the growing generations and to know that we are secure in their hands.
