Hi I'm Maddi

I'm a student. I'm a musician. I'm a missionary. I'm in love with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in Chicago, Illinois, Spanish speaking. I love music! I sing, play piano, and guitar. I dance. I act. I'm a student at a local university studying music therapy. I'm from a huge Mormon family. My dream vacation is a day at the beach with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have always been taught of the love my Heavenly Father has for me as well as my Savior. I grew up on primary songs, Sunday school lessons, and discussions as a family that taught me the different points of doctrine believed in the church. At the age of 8 I chose to be baptised into the church by my brother. When I began high school I attended seminary classes. It was here that my real involvement in the gospel began. A seminary teacher challenged all of my classmates and myself to read from the Book of Mormon before we started our homework, and if we would, then we'd gain a testimony of the scriptures and do better in our classwork. I decided that was something I wanted! I experimented with his challenge and as a result I began to show some of my first, grown-up faith. Through the process of reading every day I could feel the love I previously felt from God grow and I gained the testimony and the success promised. After this experience and through the past years of my life I have found peace in the gospel and the assurance that although I don't know the final outcome of the experiences I have, God does, and He will guide me if I remain faithful. I find that the more I allow Him into my life and strive to be like Him the more happy and successful I am.

How I live my faith

I have been attending an all single congregation for the past two years. I have loved the opportunities to serve in leadership and teaching roles of our women's organization and get to know the women personally. As one of the leaders I was able to help visit and see to the individual needs of the sisters as well as plan events during the week for the sisters to get together. For the next 1.5 years I will be serving daily as a missionary in Chicago to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone who will listen.
