Hi I'm Shelby

I answer to Mom, live in the Northwest and I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up most of my childhood in Sandy Utah where the Mormon population is large. I was lucky to have a ward house three minutes from my house and a temple minutes away. I never realized how lucky I was to have all of these resources so close until I moved to where I am today. Growing up in an active Mormon household, I was lucky and blessed to have parents who held strong values. They instilled these values in me at a young age. As a family we traveled to many fun destinations, and had many great experiences. As I grew older some of my focus in life changed, and I made poor choices. It took me quite awhile to see who I was becoming. Luckily, through prayer and repentance I began to find hope. When I began dating my husband I had begun to see these blessings. One year later we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City temple. I know the Lord has a plan for me and for every one of us. Today my husband and I live in Washington state with our two beautiful daughters. I am blessed every day to have them in my life. Family is so important and I am glad to have so much of them near us.

Why I am a Mormon

The world can be such a lonely, and confusing place. I depend on the Lord through prayer and scripture study, to guide me from day to day. Sunday's are a day of worship and renewing our covenants with the Lord. I feel it very important for my daughters to grow up attending church and instilling the values that my parents instilled in me. The Lord loves all of us and wants all of us to be truly happy and follow him. With him we can obtain true happiness.

How I live my faith

I strive to make my home a place of comfort and a feeling of safety for my family. I know that the Lord in my life and in my home, is the only way for true happiness. Me and my family pray daily and have weekly family home evening to keep the spirit in our home. Every Sunday my family and I attend church and partake of the sacrament. My calling in my ward is to teach the three and four year olds which I very much enjoy, I have found that I am a much happier, fulfilled person when I am doing what the Lord would ask of me.
