Hi I'm Craig

I'm a Mormon. I'm a husband, father and new grandfather. I'm a builder of large unique buildings and trust with people.

About Me

I am the father of 4 girls and 1 boy who all love life and love being very active in life. One daughter is a special needs child who now at age 21 has taught me more about life than my own life experiences. I cherish what everyday brings. I love building things so my career in construction can be like a dream. When I come home to the family it includes cows, horses, chickens, dogs and cats. This means there are always many projects to build at home as well. Most of all I love building a family that believes in God and together we build a strong relationship with Him and His Son Jesus Christ. We love living in the country where life means responsibility to the animals that count on each of us everyday. We love playing sports together and are always up for a basketball, volleyball or baseball game.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and completness the truth brings to my life. Even though I was raised in the church I had to seek then find my own pivotal moments where it had to be my choice to truly accept the Gospel and stop going through the motions because of the culture around me. They came in bits and pieces not in a singular event that changed the world but each one of them changed me. I saw the truth in the lives of people who challenged me to do more than just go through the motions. I found peace and confirmation of the truthfulness when I read the Book of Mormon not as an assignment or to check a box but to know if it was true or not. I tested the promise of God and He confirmed to me the truth of the book, of living prophets and His love for me. I thirsted especially to understand my purpose on Earth and so studied everything I could find that could explain the complete and eternal circle of life. It didn't start here and in won't end here. The Plan of Happiness has helped shape everything I do. Knowing clearly there is plan that has no loopholes and no gaps because it is perfect brings incredible peace. I face challenges just like everyone else and I fail on a regular basis but the knowledge of God, the Plan of Salvation and the love of my Savior keeps picking me up and moving forward against all odds.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel means I live it whether anyone is watching or not. I am often away from anyone that knows me and I find it exhilarating to return home each day that I have not betrayed my faith. I work hard to lift those around me at work without preaching and they expect more of me because of that. I have served in the church with the youth in Scouts and love working with the young men of the area. There is so much good in the youth that never is shown in the media but it is there and our future in their hands will be bright and brilliant because of who they are. We have climbed Mount Rainier, been exhausted by 50 mile hikes and 50 mile canoe trips where you get to see what people are made of. There is no pretense and each time the depth and faithfulness of the youth is astounding. I live my faith everyday in all that I do that includes my failures because I am far from perfect but the Gospel of Jesus is here to help me seek perfection and acheive excellence.
