Hi I'm devan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and a father of five. I grew up on a horse ranch in Wyoming and love the outdoors. My hobbies include sports, hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, skiing and other activities in the great outdoors. I enjoy the mountains which makes it tough based on my current location! My greatest joy in life comes from being a husband and father. Everything I do and love revolves around this. From camping and four-wheeling to little league baseball...nothing compares to being a father.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was raised in a LDS household with parents who were true examples of Jesus Christ. My father and mother taught us the gospel through example in everything they did. They never "preached" to me or pressured me into being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rather they lived in a way that gave me a desire to live with that same light in my own life. As I grew older, I had a desire to be independent and know the truth for myself. Through careful scripture study and prayer I gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon and the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the gospel first and foremost at home. I've learned that doing the "little things" when done collectively and regularly make all the difference. This includes daily prayer and scripture study, weekly family home evening and church attendance. I work a lot with service activities which includes moving members in and out as well as cleaning the church and other various activities. I also work a lot with organizing home teachers and with the welfare needs of the church members.
