Hi I'm Jeremy

I am a trumpet player and played in my High School Jazz Band, Pep Band, Marching band, and Concert Band. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play basketball. I find a particular interest in geocaching, and thoroughly enjoy nature, especially when I can escape the dry Nevada heat. I have grown up under the covenant, born into a family tied to each other throughout many generations, having been sealed in the holy temple. I know that I can live with my family forever through God's great plan of happiness, and too can be sealed to a worthy wife, and tie myself to my children through these same covenants in the temple. I am preparing to serve in the Argentina BahIía Blanca Mission by years end. I marvel at all the modern day advancements, which make life so much easier and help me focus more on what matters most. Later in life, I plan on starting a business designing useful software and eventually mobile devices. The world is moving at outstanding rates. All the world's nations are making so much progress, and likewise the Lord is hastening his work. I am especially interested in the church's extended use of technology, and the many great tools the church is learning to put to good use. I someday wish to give my time and talents to further their efforts in these areas. I can see many hearts are being touched and doors are being opened in places many never thought possible. The church is growing to prepare the world for the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I know I have been called to push the lords agenda and strengthen his kingdom.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful for all that I have been taught, for those early years when I learned of the gospel from family and directly saw the blessings of the church in my life and those close to me. I am grateful for the brotherhood of priesthood quorums and those who have fellowshipped me in my exploration of gospel topics. I have learned the doctrine from evenings with my family searching through the scriptures. I have been fortunate to have been taught so well. I have prayed and received confirmation that these are true by the power of the Holy Ghost. I find that I am at greatest capacity to serve my fellow men in the church and I know when I serve my fellow men I serve God. I am glad I have been blessed to know of God's plan for me. I know that He loves me so much he sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for my sins and prepare the way for me to return to Him with an eternal family. I know Jesus Christ is the savior of the world, and the means whereby we can change our very nature. I know His ways are just, and we are only blessed as we keep his commandments. Everything we do either brings us closer to Him or closer to the captivity of the devil. If we serve him we can have ultimate freedom and be empowered to do great things. He is the source of all our strength.

How I live my faith

I have started attending the Young Single Adult Branch in my area since the time I graduated High School. I am preparing to enter the temple to receive my endowment, a gift of knowledge and power given in the temple, and am currently taking a temple prep class. I also go to a missionary prep class every tuesday as well as an institute class on thursday. I enjoy giving service in the branch, and am willing to accept any future callings the Lord gives me. I enjoy spending time with family. I have seen many blessings in my life, and have seen many good examples which have made me who I am today. I love to read of ancient prophets and learn from them and their experiences. I ultimately try to pattern my life after the life of Jesus Christ, and find so much strength in what He has been able to do for me. I know He leads and guides his church through his holy prophets in these days leading up to his second coming. I know that the prophets teach us the mind and the will of God, and that what they declare is scripture and carries the same authority as God. Whether by Gods voice or by the voice of the prophets, it is the same. By following the teachings of the prophets we will be safe, and we can be confident we are doing what is right. I am grateful for all the Lord has restored to us in these latter days. I know He led a young Joseph Smith to translate the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God, and restore all the priesthood powers and keys of every past dispensation. He has issued in a fulness of times. We have so much scripture so readily available. We can know the mind of God on a much more personal level through obedience to his word, faith and prayer. He will give us revelation by the power of the Holy Ghost if we ask and seek after it.
