Hi I'm Modena

I'm a Mormon and I'm a breast cancer survivor.

About Me

I met my husband after a life changing experience with breast cancer. He had lost his wife to cancer and had three pre-teenagers to raise. Since I had no children of my own I am grateful for the opportunities to learn from these children and the grandchildren we now have.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the principles that I have learned within the faith have helped me to become a better person. I feel spiritually fed as I read and search the Bible and the Book of Mormon for answers to my questions. I feel the spirit teach me what is true as I read and pray. I know the scriptures to be true.

How I live my faith

I currently am a Ward Missionary. I enjoy sharing my time, talents and faith with others. Our family has done many activities in our neighborhood to know neighbors better and have them as our friends. We organized block parties and strive to keep our neighborhood a friendly environment.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We have helped out with neighbor's funerals, weddings births and baptisms. We have visited them when sick and taken loafs of bread by just to say hello or welcome to the neighborhood. We have mowed lawns and set up block parties and block watch programs together. It doesn't matter what their background or beliefs are we just hope we can all be friends and love and serve each other through the good times and the bad. Show more Show less
