Hi I'm Sister Brown

I am a reader, an athlete, a musician, a crafter, a shopper, an organizer, a volunteer, a mother to 6 children, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read historical fiction novels. History helps me to remember the blessings that I have living on the earth at this time. I played volleyball & softball in high school and college. I have my Physical Education Teaching degree. I play the violin and sing in the community choir. I love to shop and find bargains. I love to cook and invent new meals for my family to eat. But I don't enjoy doing the dishes. I have been married to my great husband for 24 years. We have 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls. I love to watch my children participate in sporting events, musical concerts and plays. It is fun to see the enjoy life and find success.

Why I am a Mormon

My Testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ is very dear to my heart. I grew up in an area with lots of LDS people. I watched and learned many things from them. I respected and loved the leaders in my church. They were wonderful examples of what I wanted to be like, when I grew up. Now my testimony of Jesus Christ is how I live my every day life. It is how I make my decisions, how I act. It is how I respond to others. It determines my priorities. It even helps me choose the clothes I am going to wear. It helps me decide goals for my personal behavior. It determines my priorities. I think that whatever you believe of Jesus Christ and his gospel will truly determine your actions. I know that my Elder brother Jesus Christ atoned and suffered for my sins. Now I can repent and make myself worthy to live with him and my Heavenly Father someday. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and his sacrifices to bring to me and my family the true restored gospel back to the earth. It is also a privilege I enjoy to live here on the earth at this time when a prophet of God is available to teach me what I need to learn from our Father in Heaven. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true chrch. I am humbled and grateful to get to be a member of it. I am proud to be called Sister Brown. It is a name I have looked forward to earning for many years.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward in lots of ways. I conduct the music for the Sunday Services. I decide and motivate members of the congregation to express love for their Savior by pariticipating in Special Musical numbers for the services. I organize and oversee Girls Camp Activites for the Female Youth ages 12-18 for a week during the summer. I am a Webelos Den Leader to 17 active 10 year old boys.
