Hi I'm Wendy

I grew up in San Jose, California. I'm married and have 3 grown children. I'm a Service Care Provider and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm #8 of twelve children. Both of my parents have passed. My best friends growing up were my sisters. I love flying kites, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, Tai chi, and the ocean. My youngest daughter is serving a Spanish speaking mission in the Washington Seattle area. My son is in Japan going to college. My oldest daughter has Downs Syndrome, works at Kmart and lives with us. My husband is in construction. Our family likes to vacation in the mountains, at the beach, and at Disneyland. I love to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a life long member of His church. I believe the principles that have been taught, especially about the importance of family, integrity, self-reliance and accountability. I've read the Book of Mormon and have prayed about it and I know that is true. I believe that if we can live by its principles we will have happier families, communities, and world. I believe that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ and he restored Christ's church on earth. I believe we have a modern day prophet, Thomas S. Monson who leads us through righteous example. I love doing temple work.

How I live my faith

I've had many callings throughout the years and am currently serving as the Scout Advancement Chair for our troop. I loved teaching the Family Financial Class, especially hearing the success stories of true principles being applied. I love the Visiting Teaching program and the opportunity to connect and serve women in the ward.
