Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm a hair dresser, a 6-month old's entertainer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a hair dresser and have been doing that for the last 6 years. I went away to BYU and met my best friend there. We got married 3 years ago. Right before our 3rd anniversary we had the cutest little boy who has made our lives 100 times better. I’m now a stay at home mom who gets to play with my buddy all day while my husband is in school aspiring to be a doctor. As much as I love doing hair, I LOVE being a mom so much more. I love to read, sew, hang out with my mom and sisters, but most of all I love just being with my little family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of The LDS church. My parents took us to church every week. When I was in high school, I decided I needed to find out if I was only going because of my parents, or because I believed it. I started praying to Heavenly Father to help me find out if it was true. I was hoping for some big revelation letting me know without a doubt that it was true. Well the Heavens didn’t part for me, in fact NOTHING happened for a couple days. I kept praying and praying, and finally the answer came into my mind. ‘Kelsey, you already KNOW it’s true.” And I did know that. I didn’t need a big revelation because I had always known it was true. I wasn’t going because of my parents, I was going because I believed it with my whole heart. I love our church because it’s so full of hope. In a world full of tragedy and despair, we find hope through our Savior, Jesus Christ. And with Him, everything will be all right.

How I live my faith

My husband and I teach the 3-4 year olds in our church. We teach them the basics of the Gospel, which has been fun for me to review. We teach them that they’re children of God, that He created them and loves them. This is something that I feel is important to teach my son because I don’t want him to ever forget who he is and why he came to earth. I sing to him the Primary songs that we learn every week to remind him that we are children of God. In the Bible, Jesus loved the little children, they always held a special place in His heart. When I look at my baby, and see the sweet spirits in our class, I can see why.
