Hi I'm Janet Young

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired widow. I love televison, movies and eating out. I am not much of a reader, but when I do read, I only read my church books. I love reading the Book of Mormon. I was a mother, but my son passed away at age 34. My husband passed the year after my one and only child passed.

Why I am a Mormon

When contacted by the Missionaires I listened and asked many questions. They had an answer for every question I asked. I did what they asked and read the Book of Mormon and prayed. The Holy Ghost touched my heart and I knew without a doubt that what they said was the truth. Most of the things they told me I already believed, but really never realized there was doctrine and scriptures to back up the reasons I believed the way I did. The truth of the gospel, just made sense to me. I believed in Eternal families, but no other religion had an explanation of how that is, and how that can happen. I know that Christ lives, he is alive today and speaks to his Prophet and Apostles, just as he did in the Bible. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. He was given the authority to restore the true gospel for this time in the world. I say this in the Name of Jesus Christ...Amen

How I live my faith

I attend my ward regularly and have held many callings. The most important calling of all, I believe starts with the basic one and that is visiting teaching. Going to active members and non-active members and helping those sister in any way I can. We have many activities that fill my life. Some fun, some spiritual, some involving the community. I try to serve the Lord as he needs me to.
