Hi I'm Teri

I'm a Mormon. I LOVE LIFE!

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 beautiful children. I love to meet new people. I love the outdoors. I love cooking and scrapbooking and reading. I love to travel. Friends and family are so important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I gained my own testimony when I was 16. It was in my seminary class and we were having a lesson on the Savior Jesus Christ and his life. The teacher passed a picture of the Savior on the cross and I had a over whelming feeling of the spirit testifying to me that he is REAl! That all I had and was learning about was true and that the scriptures are true. I feel very blessed to have sent out not only my wonderful husband when he served his mission but also 3 children have had the blessing of serving missions. I know that for a young man of 19 years old to give up his life for the Lord for 2 years tells me that the Church is true. I also know that as a mother being able to send them out on their missions and turning them over to the Lord for those two years has been the greatest blessing in my life and my families.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to serve in many different callings in the church. At a very young age at 12 I was called to play the piano for Sunday School. Since then I have had the privilege of holding many musical callings of which I am doing now playing for our ward choir. I also am a visiting teacher and have loved every moment of visiting and serving the sisters that our my friends. I have been employed by our local school district to be a aide with the special needs children. I have loved every moment of being with them. I know that they are so loved by our Heavenly Father and their families. They have such special spirits about them. I also loved my calling being the Primary President. My life is children and I feel closest to my Heavenly Father when I am working with them.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

How we dress tells the rest of the world how we feel about ourselves. As Parents we need to teach our children to respect themselves in every way. By dressing modestly we are showing our respect for ourselves and our Heavenly Father. As parents if we love our children then we will do our best to teach them to respect themselves in their dress, and language. When we have respect for ourselves then our behavior will show that. What do Mormons believe about family?

Family is central to Our very exsistence. Everything we do is for family. We lived with a eternal family before we came to this earth. We belong to a earthly family and we have the chance to have our earthly family with us again in the life after. We also believe in doing temple work for those who haven't had the chance to accept while here on this earth. We are part of an Eternal Family. We believe that families are sealed in Heavenly Fathers Holy Temples for Eternity. I get warm feelings of the spirit when I talk about knowing that I and my family have the chance to be together for the Eternity's. I can't imagine for one second not being with them forever. They are my life and my joy, so why wouldn't I want to keep them FOREVER!!!!!! Show more Show less
