Hi I'm Sara, but I am called Peggy

I'm a Mormon. I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1988.

About Me

My family and I joined the Church over 20 years ago. I have two grown children; one is an active member, one not. I am currently divorced.

Why I am a Mormon

When the missionaries taught our family about the gospel, the thing that impressed me the most and was the most important to me was that there continues to be revelation from God to man. I felt that a loving Father in Heaven would not leave his children without continued guidance and teachings. I believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God and the Savior, but that the Book of Mormon was written for our time and circumstances. I believe that the Atonement is the most valuable gift given to us by our Savior.

How I live my faith

I volunteer in my community at my local Senior Center by helping with fund raisers, being a greeter and lunch participant registration receptionist. I served on the board of directors there for several years. I also volunteer as a Family History Consultant at our church genealogy library where I help patrons (both church members and non-members) find their ancestors. I am also a visiting teacher to several sisters in my church and help with the record keeping.
