Hi I'm Michelle

I am a mother of 4 children and 9 grandchildren. I love being with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father was a Military man, we traveled to many counties and grew to love the people and culture of the countries we lived in. I quickly learned that family is constant as we were transfered to new cities, new friends and new schools. It became a way of life to adapt to our new surrounding and be comfortable with our new environment. If making friends was difficult at first, we always had our family as our best friends. As I have gotten older all my old firends have become my family and as each year passes with new friends our 'family' continues to get larger.

Why I am a Mormon

When my family was transferred back to the United States I was 16 years old. It was difficult to adapt to the 'American lifestyle' of the 70's. Military families had strict rules to follow and it the children were unruly the father got reprimanded by his superior officer. Our family rules, values were reviewed and reminded to us children often. I felt out of place in a community school but I did notice a group of students, who dressed more modest, did not swear, did not party etc. They were the Mormon kids. I started hanging out with them and my parents approved. A year later I was baptized along with my parents and siblings.

How I live my faith

I love having fun with any age group, anywhere and anytime. When I have been invited to serve in the ward, no matter what age group, I jump in with enthusiam for a new adventure and have fun doing it. I am indeed grateful for the power of prayer and the influence of the Holy Ghost which guides me to do my best in any church calling. I have been invited to help out with the Cub Scouts, school district projects, Special Olympics, etc and again I ask the Lord for help so I can do my best. It is amazing how fun it can be when you have a positive attitude and are willing to serve when help is needed.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

As we become more aquainted with the Savior by reading the scriptures we will learn to love Him, obey Him, believe in Him and have more faith in Him. Show more Show less
