Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Utah. I do stuff like horse riding, mountain biking, and art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my life I have been involved with activities that my family engaged in, which usually included horse riding, skiing, mountain biking, and casual conversations. I also am a fan of playing fun sports like racquetball, soccer, basketball, and other things that provide some additional exercise. I love eating healthy, because that is what makes me enjoy, and love life. Like wise understanding my relationship with God has increased my happiness, peace, and understanding in how to handle life as it comes.

Why I am a Mormon

When you are born in the church it does not mean that you are going to be an automatic convert for the rest of your life, everyone has to go through a similar process to know if it is the true church. I have found that there is not much else that gives the same assurance for peace, happiness, and a better life than what is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I find that all of my questions are answered through God's prophets in these latter-days and also the words of ancient prophets: Holy Bible, and Book of Mormon. At least the questions that are expedient, and relevant to my progression.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I strive to live the principles found in the scriptures and the words of the Prophets. As I ponder what sticks out most to me as being significant, in reference to the scriptures and Prophets, I find that it is what the atonement of Jesus Christ can and has done for me. Especially as I try my best to keep my covenants with God, learn more and more of how to reverence my covenants and live them. One of my favorite Christ like attributes I strive to live is humility, because it allows you to see the good in other people, putting you in your rightful place, that is, no better than anybody else in God's eye. It also opens up great opportunities to grow and learn.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

We understand from the bible that there were other sheep of Jesus Christ fold that were not in Jerusalem. The Book of Mormon gives the account of Gods dealings with the people in the Americas, Christ other sheep, it also includes Christ visiting them after his resurrection and ascension into heaven. The account given in the Book of Mormon about Christ visiting them shows that they were taught (concerning his Gospel) and many others were healed by him, it also records a wonderful moment of him blessing the children.
