Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a Marketing Analyst, I'm a technophile, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work at a Christian university where I do marketing reporting and analysis of prospective students. There I am also working on a business degree with emphasis in business intelligence. I live with my wife of many years, whom I love very much, and my son who is the brightest and most amazing kid I know. Our hobbies include reading together (often in the Book of Mormon and the Friend Magazine), playing Wii as a family, and occasionally taking small trips around the western United States.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because my parents are and raised me in the church. As long as I can remember, I have always known that this is the church that Christ actually leads and that the Bible and the Book of Mormon and other Scriptures and teachings of the prophets come from God. Recently, however, I felt especially urgent about really studying the Scriptures and as I have begun to do so, I have identified many aspects of my life in which I could make changes to come nearer to God. I see the examples that were set by the faithful in the Book of Mormon, especially, and I want to be one of those people. As I am making these changes in my life, I feel the Spirit of God helping me along the way to do the things that I know are right. The Gospel is no longer just what I believe--it is who I am. I know that by studying the Scriptures and listening to the prophets' words, then really thinking about them and praying to ask God if they are true, we can receive a literal confirmation from God of their truthfulness (James 1:5, Moroni 10:4-5).

How I live my faith

In my home I make sure to read the Scriptures and pray, both with my family and by myself. At church, my wife and I are blessed to be the teachers for some of the 4- and 5-year-old children in our congregation. It is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity! Our children are so special!
