Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a photographer, a blogger, and an online creator.

About Me

I'm a full-fledged introvert, and proud of it too. I love spending time alone and pondering the mysteries of the universe. I love to create art and my work is very much inspired by the beauty of the natural world around us. My happiness is very closely tied to the happiness of others, and my only goal in life is to serve. I believe that everyone is amazing and that they have the potential to do amazing things. I believe we are here to find happiness and that we shouldn't let anything get in the way of that. I live to be the best person I can be and I work hard to help others do the same. I was raised as a Mormon, but I didn't always believe. There was a time when I abandoned my belief in God. I believed that being free meant being free of rules--I felt like they just held me back. I lived like this for a time and actually believed that I was happy, but I later found that I was wrong. It took several years, but with the help of some very good people (whom I now consider my personal heroes) I finally found the balance between living my own life and being faithful to God. The best part is, they aren't two different sides of me; they are one. I am truly happy. And it is because of Jesus Christ that I am able to reach my true potential. I owe it all to Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I received a personal witness of the reality of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. Knowing that, I naturally want to follow Him. I grew up reading the Book of Mormon and to be honest it wasn't anything special to me. I considered it scripture but I didn't understand it's importance. I read it over and over and even prayed to know if it was true, but I still couldn't say that I knew for sure. I later began studying the New Testament and saw the same things that I had learned in the Book of Mormon and also the things I learned growing up in the Church. My testimony of the divinity of the Book of Mormon and the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came from the Bible. They work hand in hand to testify of the Savior and together they contain the fullness of His gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a real person. I have real interests, real feelings, and a real life. That's how I live my faith: I just try to be real. I believe in Jesus Christ with all my heart; He is my example. We are all the children of God. No matter the path we chose in life, He will always love us. I do my best to follow His example and love others even when they are different than me. It's difficult, I will admit. I am very opinionated and many people don't share my views. It can be hard accepting people who live differently than we do, but all we can do is do our best. We can live together, respecting each other and seeking to find the good in one another. I am the first to admit that I am not perfect, but I keep pushing on. When I get knocked down I get back up, take a deep breath, and start moving forward once again. That's all we can do. That's all God expects us to do.
