Hi I'm Megan

I am married with two little boys. I grew up in Washington, but I have lived in France, Idaho, Florida and Colorado. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up, I always had the dream of living in a different country and working for Disney. Very random I know....but I did it. When I was 15 years old, I studied abroad in the South of France. I did not speak the language when I went there, but I did when I left. I loved living by the Mediterranean Sea and experiencing another country. I have made life long friends from that experience. It was a amazing. At 18, after a year of college, I interned at the "Happiest Place On Earth". I worked at Cirque Du Soleil and Downtown Disney. I look back at this time in my life as as the moment that I grew into adulthood. I loved working there and fulfilling a dream. It made me realize that I could do anything. After fulfilling those two dreams, I returned to school and married my wonderful husband Nathan. I earned my degree in Child Development and worked at a preschool as an Assistant Director for a two years before I had my first child. I decided to stay at home with him. I learned after a short time of staying at home that I was not much of a homemaker. :) I vowed to become better! Since then I picked up crafting, decorating, and cooking (my husband is very grateful that my cooking skills have improved) . Seven months ago, our family welcomed a second child. Having two kids is a lot of work, but so much more fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my dad was not a member of the church. I had a mother who was very active and would take us to church each Sunday. I could see how hard it was for her to take three children all by herself, but she kept doing it. When I was 12, my father joined the church. It was a wonderful feeling having us all their together. It was nice to be able to have gospel discussions in our home and have everyone included. As I teenager, I decided that I was going to study this church out and see if I truly believed in its teachings. I prayed, read my scriptures, and attended church. I had the Holy Ghost witness to me many times over that what I learned and felt was true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that we continue to have a Prophet on the earth today. Heavenly Father loves His children and wants to do all that He can so we will return and live with Him someday. I know that His son, Jesus Christ, paid for our sins with the Atonement and because of this we will be resurrected. I know that families were not created, only to end at death. They are meant to last through the eternities. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares about me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday by being an example to others. I may write a note to someone thanking them for something they have done, calling a friend who is struggling, or telling my husband and children how much I love an appreciate them. I work with the teenage girls in my church each Sunday and Wednesday night. I share my testimony with them and try to help them find their own testimony. I also do fun activities with them like crafting, cooking, sewing, and other life skills. I know that they will one day be wives and mothers and I want to help them prepare for that stage of life. Most of all, I just listen.
