Hi I'm Jill

I am a mother of 3 trying not to miss anything. A wife doing her best. A daughter loving her parents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother trying not to miss anything. A wife doing her best. A daughter loving her parents. An auntie hoping she's the favorite. A sister missing her siblings. A daughter of God trying to serve. I love to sit down and read a good book. I am learning how to become a better cook and homemaker. I am learning day by day alongside my beautiful children and handsome husband. I love to be social, I enjoy good friends and games.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to follow Christ! I was born to goodly parents, who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They taught me correct principles and how to live the gospel. I've never questioned the church, I've always believed it was true. There was a time in my life where I became lazy and chose not to go to church, to not live my standards and it was definitely the hardest time of my life. As I turned to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and our Father in Heaven, I gained my own testimony of the Gospel. I learned that as I follow Christ my life is so much easier. I'm happier. Life has meaning and I ALWAYS have someone to turn to, whatever I may be going through. I am a Mormon because I am a Child of GOD and He loves me! I am a Mormon because I want to become like Him and be with those I love for eternity!!!!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily in EVERYTHING I do. NO!! I am NOT perfect. YES!!! I make mistakes!!! :o) I am only human and trying to learn and grow each day! We have moved within the last month, so I currently have no "official" calling in our ward. However, that has not stopped us from visiting people whom we go to church with, and taking goodies over to their homes. Before we moved I was blessed to be able to work with the 14-16 year old girls in our church! I was privileged to teach them lessons every Sunday, as well as spend one night a week with them learning, doing service or playing games. I grew very attached to them and I'm thankful we've only moved an hour away, as some of them I keep in close contact with and they will be coming to have sleep overs at our new home! :o) Before I was asked to work with these fabulous young women, I was able to serve the older women in our ward. (Older not being OLD, but those 18 years and older....) I was able to assist the lady in charge with organizing fun evenings, as well as assist those who needed help, with whatever it may be... Food, finances, cleaning, watching children, whatever came our way! It was such a blessing in my life to be able to serve my fellow sisters and it definitely helped me gain a stronger testimony of our Savior and to learn how to be charitable!

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is the COOLEST organization EVER!!! :o) It is an amazing organization of wonderful women of many ages, backgrounds and talents! I remember turning 18, at which time I was supposed to go into Relief Society. I dreaded this moment..... I didn't want to go in and be with all of the "old" ladies. I wanted to stay with the young women!!! I remember it being terrifying.... But as I started attending Relief Society and participating in their night Relief Society meetings, I fell in LOVE!!! These women are AMAZING! They've been through all walks of life. Each one is unique and interesting. I just sat back and tried to soak it all in. No matter what you're going through, someone there has been through something similar. It's a great place to seek advice, help and friendship. Even if they haven't been through what you're going through, they are there to lend a helping hand. As I've said before... These women are AMAZING!!! And it doesn't matter where you go, the sisters of the church will ALWAYS be there. There will always be someone there who understands, who loves you, and who will reach out a helping hand!!!!! :o) Show more Show less
