Hi I'm Lee.

I'm a Mormon living in Indianapolis, Indiana where a temple will soon be built by the Mormon Church.

About Me

I am a father of 6 children. I graduated from Brigham Young University and am now retired from the insurance and investment business. My wife and I travel to see our grandchlidren who live around the country. I love watching sports, especially the NCAA basketball tournament.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church as my parents and grandparents were members. My ancestors joined the Church and traveled by covered wagons with the Mormon pioneers in the 1800's to Utah. I served a mission for the Church in Berlin Germany from 1963-1965 right after the wall went up. That was enough to help me be thankful for what I had at home. I have found great blessing for being a member of the Mormon Church, especially as I have encountered adversity in my life. The teachings of the Church concerning Jesus Christ and His atonement for me has helped pull me and my family through the hard times we have faced.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every week which helps me for the next week in the things I must do. I work with the full time missionaries as the Ward Mission Leader and help with the people who they teach as they get ready to join the Church. I have seen great happiness in the faces of these people as they come to know that the things they are taught are true and they do what is necessary to gain a testimony and to be baptized. I also visit with 5 families each month who are assigned to me as their Home Teacher. This has been a great blessing as I get to know these families and share with them their joys and sorrows.
