Hi I'm Chasson Beaty

I'm an honest seeker of truth, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm competitive, maybe a little too much at times. I love sports, baseball mainly with some basketball on the side. I love being active outdoors- camping, hiking, exploring, snowboarding, ect... I have climbed Mt. Whitney, Mt. Langley (twice), Half Dome, with many other peaks planned for the future. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. I love to build and fix things mechanically and logically. I love to work on vehicles. I'm an adrenaline junkie. I love to ride roller coasters. I love to skydive. I love to be exposed to different cultures and people. I love to learn languages, communicate with others, and to be able to understand others and where they are coming from. I try to be well rounded in all things. My most cherished memories are with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be a follower of Christ and an honest seeker of truth. I was baptized when I was 8 years old and have attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was 4 years old. Through out the last 16 years I have been building my faith in Jesus Christ through the personal experiences and trials of everyday life as I make choices to follow Heavenly Fathers plan for me, one of His children. Learning each day how I can be a better disciple of Jesus Christ. Knowing where I came from, and that I am loved by someone has been a key to my true happiness. All of us at some point want to be loved or feel loved. Knowing that my Savior and Heavenly Father know me personally and love me, has changed the way I act, think, and inspire others. Through out my life I have asked myself if there is any point to the things I do every day. If what I do even matters? Knowing that I have A Loving Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ loves me enough to be an example for me, to die for me, to atone for my sins, motivates me to show my Heavenly Father and Savior that I love them by keeping the commandments they have given me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day and choice by choice. I don't think that one can be described as a follower of Christ by one grand act or event that transpired in their life, rather by the choices you make each day. Being kind to others in daily contact makes a huge difference in everyone’s day. One of the best ways I know how to show my love and appreciation for others is by serving them. Christ taught to love thy neighbor as thy self. Helping others and serving in the community is something I love to do. I have participated in community clean ups, volunteered at nursing homes, and participated in Scouting and Eagle Scout projects. A hard work ethic has been instilled in me since I was young and to share what I have been given with others.
