Hi I'm Audrey

I sing, bake and craft with my 4 girls. I love to run..well, more like jog....slowly :-) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Audrey! I'm lucky to be a stay at home mom. I have 4 girls. No boys, but I like it that way. :-) I help out at the school 3 times a week and LOVE it! I also love singing. This year I had my big debut as an actress (ha) in a musical our congregation put on. It was based on the Broadway musical Wicked. I had such a great time! I can't wait to do another play. :-) I guess you could say I've caught an acting bug! I've also caught a running bug. I used to HATE running but this year my brother-in-law convinced my husband and I to be on his Ragnar Relay team with the rest of my family. It was a crazy 36 hours and 200 miles! We had a BLAST! I love to can my own food. My biggest accomplishment with this has been pickles, made from cucumbers I grew myself! A small feat to some, but I'm pretty proud of it. :-) I know how to sew, but don't LOVE it. I stress my family out every October by making all our Halloween costumes. Maybe I should start sewing them earlier.... I love staying up late 4 times a year to decorate birthday cakes for each of my girls. The last cake I did took me 8 hours. When the sun started coming up, I figured it was time to go to bed! I think that's about it! Oh, and I'm a terrible speller! :-)

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, for starters I grew up that way. I read the Book of Mormon with my family as a child several times and knew that what I was reading was true. Since then I've read it over and over again. I LOVE it. I never had a problem living the standards of the church. Even as a youth. I know that our high standards keep us safe from addictions and so many problems of the world. I'm a Mormon because I know the standards will keep us safe and I want my children to grow up with high standards. I'm a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I could not deny it. I'm a Mormon because I love the blessings I've seen happen in my life. Blessings I've received by paying tithing and blessings received by keeping high standards. I'm a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I love that when I go to church I'm taught about Jesus' life. I'm a Mormon because I want to live with my family forever. I know that if I live worthily I will live with them, in heaven. Forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching it to my children. We read the scriptures as a family and pray together. I also have my own private study time and prayer time. I work with the youth group in our congregation. I plan activities and teach lessons to the 14 to 16 year old girls. I LOVE being with the youth! They have so much energy!! I live my faith by being honest. It always amazes me how suprised people are when I return to the store if I was given too much change or was not charged for something. Once I mistakenly took a bag that belonged to the customer infront of me. The store was closed by the time I returned home and realized what had happened. When I returned the bag the next day the clrek couldn't believe that I would actually come back to return the items. It just feels good to be honest! I sing alto in the church choir and I'm in a small singing group that performs at local nursing homes. I feel the church provides me with opportunities to stretch my talents. I feel so blessed to be part of it.
