Hi I'm michelle

i am a teacher. . .mainly to our five children as we homeschool. i'm a Mormon.

About Me

i love to learn about the world around me....and then finding ways to express my feelings of learning - expression through music, writing, and speaking. i love to be with my five children in their various stages of discovery and growth - and am blessed to have them continue to choose homeschooling each school year as their preferred way of learning! i seek daily to create - to express love - to be active - and to feel truth.......and having my five with me makes each of those goals occur naturally as we share life! i embrace simplicity. . . . . .

Why I am a Mormon

i often say to myself: even if i weren't a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, i would still live the life that i live because it makes me happy and at peace! how could i not? those are two blessings many people in the world don't enjoy - and sometimes cannot even imagine their possibility. i grew up in the church - always with a knowledge of its truth....even so, there came a time when i wanted to feel that truth in my daily life, leading and guiding me to walk forward. it wasn't a loud answer. it wasn't immediate. and it wasn't the only answer given. time after time, prayer after questioning prayer, the same Spirit comes. the renewal of hope arrives. the knowledge of who i am as a daughter of God is strengthened. this is why i am a mormon: continuing revelation not only to living prophets and other leaders, but also to my daily seeking heart. and to your heart as well - each who seeks will find.

How I live my faith

this question brings introspection - doesn't it? i live my faith by being true to what i love: my family, my friends, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. i seek for the guidance of my Heavenly Father through prayer and through studying the words of Jesus Christ and his prophets and apostles, both from ancient times and today. then i strive to act on what i have learned and felt. i have served in a variety of ways within the church - from teaching children to visiting women in their homes to serving as a missionary in portugal. i currently serve as a teacher in our local group of women, where i am blessed to discuss the teachings of our living prophet with them. i live my faith in remembrance . . . . .remembrance of my Savior, Jesus Christ - remembrance of who i am as a child of God - and then trying to help others remember that they, too, are loved and known and remembered by our Heavenly Father.
