Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Mesa, AZ with two wonderful parents and seven awesome siblings. I love food, fighting, fun, family, and friends!

About Me

Currently I am on my mission trying to help others gain the happiness that I have in my own life! This Gospel means the world to me and I want everyone to have the same opportunity that I have every day to feel of their Saviors love through the power of the Holy Ghost! But, I was not always a missionary. Back home I am a mixed martial artist, a musician, a boyfriend, a son/brother, and a student. I enjoy outdoor activities such as longboarding and snowboarding. I am a music fanatic and play a multitude of instruments! And I LOVE learning Mixed Martial Arts and watching UFC events. I love spending time with my loved ones! I have four nephews and one niece and one more on the way who mean the world to me and I absolutely LOVE being an uncle! My family is the greatest blessing I have in my life and I love them dearly. I have wonderful friends who help keep me on track and a girlfriend who has helped me progress closer to the man that my Heavenly Father wants me to be and to whom I am so grateful! I love this Gospel and I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be able to serve the Lord and focus two years of my life on bringing others the happiness that I have in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Church contains the Fullness of the Everlasting Gospel! I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who has provided a way to get back to him through the Savior Jesus Christ! I am a Mormon because I know with all my heart that Joseph Smith restored Jesus Christ's Gospel onto the Earth and is a true prophet of God as is our current prophet Thomas S. Monson! I know that my Savior suffered and died for my sins. I know that through the power of my Savior's everlasting atonement I have been given the ability to return to my Father in Heaven. I am so grateful for my Father in Heaven and for my Savior Jesus Christ. They have done so much for me even when I do not deserve it. I have been on both sides. I have believed in the Gospel and also had times where I did not believe the Gospel. I bear my testimony that this is where our Heavenly Father wants us to be! I am so much happier when living the principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! Being a member of this church has blessed my life so abundantly! I love the Gospel and my Savior with all of my heart! That is why I am a mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by abiding by the principles and commandments that our Heavenly Father has given us! These commandments have been given to us for good reason and I have only seen blessings come from living them. I am currently serving a mission trying to do all that I can to bring others unto Christ! I constantly strive to serve others and remember that we are all Children of God. I often reflect on these words to remind myself how to live my faith. "Everyone has a light, a beacon that can shine forth unto others! All we have to do is turn on the light"!

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Modesty and Chastity are highly related due to the fact that we are commanded to respect both ourselves and others. Our bodies are sacred and therefore should not be displayed for the world to see. If we are displaying our bodies inappropriately then we are we also inviting inappropriate behaviors into our lives concerning intimacy. Correct values of modesty in our lives can be instilled through the diligent teaching of parents. These teachings help children and teens understand that if you want respect from others then you must first respect yourself through modest dress, language, and behavior. Show more Show less
