Hi I'm Doug

I work with the hearing impaired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Sometimes the most precious things in life are those which have been restored to us. I enjoy working with the hearing impaired and helping them hear things that have grown dull, or faded away. Also, I volunteer with our local Search & Rescue unit. Restoring a loved one back to their family safe and sound. Loss prevention is also important. I am a Scoutmaster with a local scout troop helping young boys to be prepaired so they don't get lost in the first place both spiritually and physically. Service to others is very important to me, in my family, my church, and in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been members of this Church since the 1840's. Many came from Scotland and England. They came across the plains to Utah by handcart, wagon, and train. They sacrificed many things for their faith. If it was that important to them, then I needed to know for myself why it is important. After study and prayer, I too have learned that the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. The knowledge of who I am and why I am here and where I'm going after this life gives me hope, guidence and peace.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth every Sunday. I need the guidance from the Spirit to help me, so I study the scriptures and pray for that guidance. It is rewarding to see some have a real desire to do what is right, bless the lives of others, and their families.
