Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. I love dance and gymnastics and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of two sweet little boys and one more little man on the way. I have a wonderful husband who is adored by his boys and, of course, by me! I have a passion for dance, gymnastics, and running. I love to be active and have a strong body. I love to travel and dine out with my family. I am a self proclaimed foodie! I also have a passion for medicine. I love to learn about how the human body functions and how miraculous our systems are. I am currently waiting to start the nursing program to become an RN. I have an Associate's Degree in Biology from BYU Idaho. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. It gives my life persepective and meaning and allows me to be with my family for eternity. It brings me peace and happiness to have the knowledge of the gospel of our Savior in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. My parents are wonderful members of the church who helped strengthen my testimony throughout my life until I was able to gain a testimony for myself. The church just makes sense to me! Especially as a parent when I tell my kids to do something they don't like it is always to keep them safe and happy in the long run. I think of the gospel like this. So many people think that being LDS is restrictive and hard but I find happiness that others outside of the church aren't able to experience. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs and I never have. Some people might say that this is a life of no fun and that it's very limiting. I know better though...I've never had my brain function inhibited and I've never been so addicted to nicotine that I can't even enjoy an airline flight without getting jittery. I know that living this way will keep my body strong and help me to live a very long and fulfilling life. How could I not love being a part of this? I continue to stay strong and true to my faith because of the happiness it brings me and because I know it is true!

How I live my faith

I go to church each Sunday and I am beyond priveleged to be with the youth of my ward. The wonderful young women of our ward teach me more than I feel I could ever teach them as their leader. I plan activities with the young women and we have an activity night each Wednesday. It's a wonderful place for the youth of our church to come and participate in fun activities that they feel welcomed, loved, and appreciated being at. I am also a visiting teacher to three lovely ladies. I try to visit them each month in their homes to just talk and see how their lives are going and to share a message from our Ensign magazine with them. I am able to bring dinners to these ladies when they're having a hard day or to make them treats when I feel like they could use a pick me up.
