Hi I'm Francie

I am a wife and mother of six, and grandmother of 5. I play the violin in a community orchestra. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the arts! I am an avid reader, and often ask friends and family for book and author referrals. I have played the violin for forty years, and enjoy participating in community orchestras and teaching beginning students. I love many forms of music, vocal and instrumental, classical as well as more contemporary. I'm a fan of many forms of dance, and though I took a few tap dancing classes, I'm mostly a devoted audience member when it comes to dancing. I have been a homemaker for the past 26 years, and it is the best career! It brings me a lot of joy to make our home a refuge of beauty, comfort and peace for our family. My husband and children are my greatest treasures. Gardening is something else I choose to do, and find great satisfaction in keeping our yard trimmed and cared for. I walk and ride my bike for exercise, and love the exhilaration of physical exercise!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the joy it brings! It feels so good to know that God is in charge, knows me, and loves me. There is a purpose to our life here, and we can make a difference as we touch other people's lives also. I know that this life is an opportunity to learn and prove our worthiness, exercise faith, and serve others as a way to show our love for God. This is also called the great plan of happiness, because nothing else can bring true happiness as much as a testimony of Jesus Christ, and the knowledge that He lives! Living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me a feeling of peace and comfort: I know who I am, why I am here, and where I am going. Nothing could be better. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by striving to feel close to God through loving and serving my family, and friends. I try to be a little bit better each day, and am so grateful for repentance! I want to make the kind of choices that will invite the spirit of God to be welcome in my life and home. I have the opportunity to work with the young girls in our local congregation. These girls are between the ages of 12-18 and along with other women leaders, we plan weekly activities with the girls that include studying the scriptures, sports, homemaking and other skills, service in the community, as well as just having fun together. I have also served in the children's organization, teaching religious lessons and music, and in the women's organization planning scripture study and service related activities.
