Hi I'm Amber

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 beatiful children, who are my life. I am fortunate to be a stay at home mom. While it is avery strenuous job, it is the most rewarding! I am married to a wonderful man who loves us dearly. We are right now consumed with football for our 9 yr old and, of course, school for 2 of them. Family time is the best time. We love being together!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have come to know NO other peace, fulness or joy as the whole truth and gospel of Jesus Christ. I grew up in the church but as a young adult I had to take my own path. I felt hollow and empty. No matter how much fun I thought I was having or how I tried to justify my lifestyle, it did not work. When I had children it hit me really hard, what kind of chance was I going to give them in this world by living the way I was? I met a wonderful family where I worked, that were members. I went to their house for a family home evening and the feeling of peace and love, the spirit of our Savior was so strong. It brought me back to what I had lost, to what I had forgotten as I withdrew from what I knew for so many years. I quickly found my ward and returned home. The peace and comfort I have when I follow the path of Jesus Christ and his prophets has filled that hollow and emptiness in my heart. To know I am a daughter of our Father in Heaven who loves us and has a plan for us to return to Him someday, is priceless and precious. To know that my children will feel His love here and will have His help to get them through this crazy world is such a comfort as a mother. NOTHING can match that hope and peace to know you are not alone is raising your children. They have a Father in Heaven there for them as well. I know this is the true church of Jesus christ. It has been restored through our prophet Joseph Smith in this, the last dispensation on time. I know we have a prophet today, Thomas S Monson. We are not a forgotten people, if we had prophets thousands of years ago, they are here today. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. This is the way home to Him. We have been given the powers of Heaven to return as a family forever. The gifts of the Priesthood to seal on earth and in Heaven. We can be a family eternally. Marriage is forever, not till death do us part. We have the gift of personal revelation, to know for ourselves if this is true church.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I get to be a better member of our community in serving my neighbors. We have been able to be a part of Cub Scouts. Not only in teaching values and skills to our son, but to other kids his age. We have been sunday school teachers to many different ages of children. It is such a blessing to see them grow and learn. The programs for woman are unmatched. It is like a second family. Friends and relationships are built not only for ourselves but for our children. It is amazing to see them grow and strengthen each other in church and at school. The neighborhood becomes an extended family.
