Hi I'm Alane

I am a wife, a mother and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised mormon and was married in the Mesa Temple to my wonderful husband, and we have now started our family and we love every minute of it. I have a degree in Interior Design and was able to work in the field for almost 5 years before the market turned. Having a new family with drop in our income has been a struggle but thankfully it has only pulled us together. Even though we worry about our finances and making ends meet we know that if we are faithful and live the commandments the Lord will bless us and he has in so many ways. My family would be lost without the strength of the Lord and the blessing of following his gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the church at first it was the decission of my parents. Then when I became a young single adult and on my own at 19 yrs old the time came for me to decide where I was going in my life and what I wanted to be a part of. I will admit that I tested the waters, I skipped church a few times to see what it felt like not to go and even went to the store to pick up a few things. I will tell you that once I played hookie I never did again. A day with out the holy ghost was a lonely and depressing day. I felt as though an important part of me was missing and I never wanted to feel that way again. I then felt a renewed commitment to the Lord and his gospel and decided that I was going to put all that I had into gaining and strengthening my own personal testimony.

How I live my faith

I love to help others and feel a peace in my life and my home when I am able to serve those around me. One of the things that I love about the LDS church is the community of people that you can call on for help and they will be there. I am happy with every oppertunity to lend a helping hand to those in need. One of my favorite oppertunities is when a sister in the ward needs meals to brought to her home. I love helping her out by providing a service that allows her to take care of her families needs while being able to heal.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Alane
The temples are a wonderful place where members of church are able to go and do the work for ourselves and for loved ones who have gone on before us. It is a sacred place and for that reason we need to live our lives in a way that allows us to be worthy to do this sacred work. Show more Show less
