Hi I'm Jeremy Atkin

I have received the most amazing blessings in my life... I am a mormon

About Me

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the age of 14 move to Arizona and have been planted ever since. During high school I meet my eternal companion and we were married following my mission to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. We have a beautiful family of six, three girls and one boy. My wife is an amazing mother and my best friend! She serves in the church as a leader to the young women in our ward and is such an example to them. I have the blessing of being a Sunday School teacher to the 13-14 year olds in the ward, which is the greatest calling! Our family is blessed by our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up it a strong lds family. My parents would take me to church on Sundays and I was baptized at age 8. Shortly after my baptism, my mother became physically ill and impeded her from sitting for long periods of time. So gradually my parents starting missing more and more church. My sister and I however would still attend has often as possible. I remember one day in primary class learning about how to help activate inactive families and my friend leaned over and said, "I think we need to help your family." Ever since, I have tried to attend every Sunday that I can. At the age of 14, my dad was notified that our family was being transferred to Arizona for his job. I was so upset, but have finally come to realize that was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I made good strong church friends and meet my eternal companion and with her motivation and others served a mission in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. While serving 2 years in Honduras, my testimony grew of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus is my older brother and my savior. He died on the cross for me and paid the price for my sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. When I leave this beautiful earth, I will have the blessing of living eternally with my family and be eternal. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy and provides his teachings to us through his modern day prophets upon the earth today. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church on the Earth and the same church that Christ organized in his day. I say these things in the name of my beloved savior Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

Blessings from volunteering in the church are absolutely incredible. My wife and I both volunteer in our Church callings and we love the opportunities that we have each week to work so close to the youth in the church. My calling is to teach the 13-14 year olds as a Sunday School teacher. Each week we have a new lesson from on church history (my favorite) and last year we learned from the Old Testament and previously the New Testament. I look forward to each Sunday morning to meet with my class and all of us learn new things. My wife is the Young Women's President in our ward. Her calling allows her the blessing of working with each young woman in our ward. She with her presidency plans weekly activities and prepares Sunday lessons to teach the young woman standards, morals and how to become more Christ-like. She is very devoted to her calling and loves each of the young women. My kiddos attend primary classes each Sunday and singing/sharing time. It is always fulfilling to see them running down the hallways at church eager to share with me what they learned about the Savior that day. The opportunities to serve in the church are plentiful... I am a home teacher and share messages with families in the ward in their homes with them, I am also able to help with moving committees, helping another member locate work, and overall be a good friend. I try to live my life in a way that when other people see me that immediately know that I am a member of the Church. I try to conduct myself in a matter that if I was to meet my Heavenly Father tomorrow I would have no regrets. We can all strive to become better in what we do.
