Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 30-something mother of four kids. Our family has moved around and we love meeting new people. I am active in my kids' activities and am homeschooling one of my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon but I gained a true testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ as I struggled with some difficult family circumstances as a young adult. The doctrines of our Church make sense to me, and I have received spiritual witness to their truths many times over.

How I live my faith

I have a degree in teaching and love working with children and youth. In our church, I have had many opportunities to help kids learn about their Savior and understand that He is available to them all of the time, with unconditional love. I am currently serving in our Boy Scout troop and enjoy seeing our boys learn firsthand the relationship between service to family and community and real happiness and peace.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

I choose to follow the Word of Wisdom, which means that I do not smoke, drink alcohol, drink coffee or tea, or use drugs (aside from doctor-prescribed medications). I enjoy better health -- physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is a show of respect for this wonderful body I have been given by a loving Heavenly Father. I think that modesty and chastity also fall under the same principle. Show more Show less
