Hi I'm Laura Jones

I live in Renton Washington. I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. I own a business. I'm a contractor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a grandmother! I have 4 grandchildren that bring great joy to me. We have 3 grandsons who live far away 1 granddaughter who is close. Their ages are between 8 months and 5 years. It is a wonderful time in life. I enjoy spending time with my husband also. We like watching football (especially college) and going for a drive on a sunny day in the '56 pickup. My spare time interests include reading and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was a baby, so I have had the blessing of growing up with the Gospel throughout my life. But as a young adult, I knew that I needed to know of the truthfulness of the Gospel for myself. I strived to keep all the commandments, I studied the scriptures and I prayed to my Father in Heaven. As I consistently did these things, I knew that what I was doing was right and true. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed my life with peace, hope and joy.

How I live my faith

A good way to live one's life with faith, is to love and serve others. Jesus Christ taught this message of love and service for all mankind. I strive to follow His example as I work with the youth in my congretation. On Sundays, I teach lessons to the 16 - 18 year old young women that help them to understand the Gospel and the Savior. I also work with the youth in planning activities that develop talents, increase education and skills and provide service in the community. It is great to work with young people. I enjoy their enthusiasm and energy and many times it rubs off on me.
