Hi I'm Nancy

I'm in love with life! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mom. I have a cosmetology license and do hair out of my home on the side. I grew up as a tomboy with 6 older brothers, so doing hair was not a profession I considered in my youth. But God lead me to it. Growing up in a home where my single mother had to work had a strong affect on me. I made a goal to obtain an education that would allow me to work from home if needed and raise my family along side my husband. God knew I'd love helping people feel good about their appearance while reminding them they are beautiful and unique in body and spirit.

Why I am a Mormon

I've lived from LA to New Jersey and lots of places in between. I've learned that while we are all different, we're still the same: We are children of God! We struggle, we rejoice, we love. We all have the same Savior and He loves each of us perfectly. I'm forever grateful for the Atonement, Sacrifice, and never ceasing love my Brother has given me. My goal now is to live up to the potential God sees in me while helping and encouraging my children and husband to do the same. Nothing is more important to me than going home with my family to our Father in Heaven. I know God lives. I know Jesus is our Redeemer. They want us to come to them and everyday they're beckoning us homeward. They've given us a living Prophet, scriptures, Christ's restored Church, and the Holy Ghost to tell us how to get home. It's up to us to choose to go there. As for me and my house... we're going home. Want to come?

How I live my faith

Every day I read the scriptures with my family out of the Book of Mormon and the Bible. We pray together as a family, my husband and I pray as a couple, and I pray in private on my own... mostly while my small children are running in and out of my room asking what I'm praying about. I don't mind, because i know them just seeing mommy kneel in prayer teaches them to pray themselves. I try hard to overcome my weaknesses and be a good neighbor and friend. I talk openly about church, the importance of prayer, and about my love for Jesus Christ. I don't ever want someone to know me and not know that I believe and follow the Savior. I often invite others to attend church with my family, because it's some of the best 3 hours of my week and I want to share it with others. At church, I serve in the Primary Presidency over the children's group in our area. It's the hardest church responsibility I've had, but completely rewarding. The young people amaze me! They have such kind hearts, strong spirits, and great desires to learn about their Savior and how they can be like Him. It's overwhelming at times to know that I have a large role in teaching them those vital things. I rely heavily on the Spirit to guide me. Even still, I feel as though they teach me more than I'm teaching them.
