Hi I'm Micah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I'm also much more, but all pales in comparison.

Why I am a Mormon

Coming from a highly analytical background where nothing truly exists until it is proven I came to realize that there is more proof to the existence of a God than there is proof against. Once I understood the correlation between proof and truth I understood that there is a necessity of an absolute truth which placed me on a journey. My search for truth took me to attend many different religions, and the denominations thereof, reading multiple sets of scriptures, and thoughtful consideration and prayer. I came to an appreciation that all religions and scientific knowledge had truth to them regardless of different teachings, but only 1 had a logical, absolute truth. There is no logic that can thwart the structure, teachings, ordinances, scripture, and authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. God is a source of absolute truth; therefore, his church would be also. As logical as anything may be there is always an unknow varaible. It is only through thoughful and determined prayed that one may know the truth of all things.

How I live my faith

No soul on this earth doesn't carry a burden they don't understand which can make this world a dark and lonely place. As we come to understand that we are all in this together, and as we work with/for and love one another the dark becomes light, the cold becomes warm, and loneliness subsides to comfort and happiness. God is a very loving father who only wants the best for his children, and he awaits every opportunity to send blessings, but it is up to us to receive those blessings. I believe I am very blessed, more than I deserve, and I strive to show my appreciation for my blessings through kindness towards others. Although, I do not always succeed in my endeavor I continue to strive towards being better than yesterday.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

First, God rules by the emotion of hope in knowledge and Satan rules by the emotion of fear and confusion. Many fear what they do not know, or hold to false notions imposed upon them by figures seen as authorities. My recommendation is to take courage and find out for yourself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a cult. Talk to the missionaries and knowledge of the church will prove otherwise.
