Hi I'm Amy

I'm a wife and mother, a piano teacher, a reader, a friend and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in California, went to college and earned a degree in History Teaching. I met my husband at school, we married and now have 3 beautiful children. I teach piano lessons from home and try to balance all our schedules. I love teaching my students and helping my own children learn about music. When I have down time I love to read anything I can get my hands on!

Why I am a Mormon

I've known about God's plan for us all of my life and because of it I've always felt my life as a purpose. I know that we can return to live with Heavenly Father after our time on earth through good choices and good works. This affects my actions daily and gives me a reason to work hard and gives me a greater perspective. This makes me happy. I am a better wife, mother and friend because I know who I am and where I am going.

How I live my faith

In the church I work with the teenage girls. I teach spiritual lessons on Sundays and participate in weekly youth group meetings. I love these girls! I have learned so much from them and enjoy discussing religious topics with them. I hope I am making a difference in their lives, because they are definitely making a big one in mine! I also participate in many musicals ways at church. Music is such an important part of our church. It helps you feel the Lord's spirit in a way that nothing else can. We usually have a musical number in our Sacrament Meetings and I often participate in them. I also love to sing in the Choir. My mom taught me when I was a teenager that the Lord has given us each talents and we should share those talents with others. I'm so glad she helped me understand this at a young age because it has given me so much joy!
