Hi I'm Rachelle

I'm a busy mom of 3 children, owner of a small candy business, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I grew up in a small town surrounded by tall pines, dirt roads, and a working man's (and woman's) way of life. Because of this, I was able to enjoy and learn to respect the outdoors and work hard. Now, as a mom of three awesome kids and a wife of a wonderful husband, we're able to make memories together and knit our family close together. My father and mother taught me about hard work, honesty, integrity, and true grit--sticking it out until the end; things will work out. I did my best in school and earned a BS degree in Geologic Sciences, and worked hard for my employers. Even when times became almost unbearable (because it happens to everyone!) I knew that I could rely on my family, friends, and the Church to help bouy me up.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or a Mormon, because I choose to be. My parents joined the Church as 19-year olds and did so under scrutiny from their family, but they later were sealed in the Mesa Temple. As years passed, my grandparents could see the wonderful influence of the Church's teachings in our family. My parents strived to teach me and my brothers to be the best that we could be, and that if we made a mistake, we could be forgiven. But first and foremost, they taught us that we were loved, not only by them, by our Heavnely Father and Jesus Christ. Everyone matters to Them, not just members of our faith. We spread the Gospel message and share our testimonies with others because everyone needs to know that God loves them and wants them to find true and everlasting happiness and that families can be forever. I have felt God's arms around me as I prayed to Him needing his comfort when I felt no one else understood my heartache and pain. I know God and Jesus live and that the Church today is a beacon of hope and light in an ever darkening world where morals are shifting and families are deteriorating.

How I live my faith

I'm the first counselor in the Primary presidency and I'm responsible for preparing Sharing Time lessons and testisfying of Christ. I take my calling seriously because the children are our future leaders, fathers, and mothers. We teach, alongside with their parents, that they are loved by God and that they have the power to be missionaries and examples to everyone around them. I'm also a visiting teacher and love making new friends and making sure that the sisters under my care know that they can rely on me if they are having difficulties in life. We all stand a little straighter when we have a friend under each arm.
