Hi I'm Karie

I am a wife, mother and interior designer. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother to five children. I love interior design and try to find time in my busy mom schedule to help those I love, by sharing my talents in this area. I love everything beautiful....flowers, sunsets, gardens, colors in nature, beautiful furniture. I love to bake and share my food with those around me. It makes me happy to see my childrens faces light up after I have baked a batch of cinnamon rolls or homemade bread! I love to travel and see new places with both my husband and my children. I dream of being able to share the world with my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and all of His teachings. I believe in and love the realization of Eternal Families. We devote so much time to our families here on this earth that the thought of loosing them after death saddens me. I love knowing I will be with the ones I love forever! I believe in a Living Prophet here upon this earth today, that can lead and guide us during times of so much confusion. I am a Mormon because I love the standards the church provides us with. These standards help me to know what I need to be teaching my children so that they can make good, rightous choices in their lives that will bring them happiness. I LOVE being a Mormon because when I follow the teachings of our Saviour Jesus Christ I am a happier person!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching ten and eleven year old girls twice a month after school. We meet at my house and we talk about ways we can become more Christ like young women, and then we usually do a fun activity that coordinates with it. I help these girls discover who they are (daughters of a loving Heavenly Father) and who they can become. I love watching them grow in confidence and understanding as they learn more about our Heavenly Fathers plan for them. I also visit two women regularly each month in my neighborhood. I make sure their needs are met physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Everyone needs a friend to look after their needs right! My husband and I have also been in charge of planning and carrying out a Youth Activity for 350 youth ages 14-18 in our area. This activity consists of a service project for the city parks in our area, a swim party, dinner, games, dance, and evening inspirational guest speaker. This has been a wonderful experience and we are very excited to see how the youth enjoy it!
