Hi I'm Malisa

I love life and my Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon. :D

About Me

I love life and the joy that is brings us. I think it is so important for us to stay positive and realize the blessings that the Lord does give us. In my life I have been through many trials and I am still young. When I was 10 my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer she did treatments and it went away. She then got diagnosed with lung cancer, she again did treatments and it went away. Not much later she was diagnosed with colon cancer she again did treatments and it went away. She was clean for about 2 years and then we found out her breast cancer had come back and was spread throughout her entire body. She passed away a few months later. I was 16 when she died. This is when I truely gained my testimony of the church. I realized I could not rely on my Mom's testimony anymore. So I prayed and studied and Heavenly Father gave me strength and the knowledge that this was the true Gospel. I have grown so much in the past 4 years. I graduated from High school in 2011 and went to Mesa Community College to study photography and nursing. Now I am preparing to serve my mission and I will leave March 27th 2013. I am serving in Kennewick Washington and I could not be more excited! Since my mom's passing my family has struggled and she really was the glue that held us together, I hope that through my mission I will be able to set an example for them and that the Lord will bless them while I am gone."A sister missionary leaves her family for 18 months so others can be with theirs forever."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true church on the earth today. I know without a doubt in my mind that my Savior lives and he died for me so that I can return to my best friend, My Heavenly Father, once again. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know it is the word of God. I have also prayed to ask to know which church is true and I got a firm answer telling me that the LDS church was the Church of God. I know that we are led by a prophet named Thomas S. Monson and he is in contact with our Heavelny Father guiding us in these latter days. I know that families are eternal and that if we live righteously we can live with them again in Heaven. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and he is one of the strongest men I have ever heard of. I know these things are true in Jesus name. Amen.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday no matter where I am at. I have a calling as an FHE committee member. Which means every Monday night I get to plan activities for the singles in my ward to get together and have a fun and enjoyable evening together. Like games and lessons and sports and fun things like that.
