Hi I'm Haley

I am a college student, future missionary, fitness enthusiast, and Kappa Delta sister.

About Me

Hi there! My name is Haley. I am a college student at the great Utah State University, home of the Aggies. I am majoring in Management Information Systems which is pretty much a mixture of business management and computer science. This past summer, I just completed an amazing internship working directly with my major! I am a part of an amazing organization up at college, Kappa Delta. KD is a social sorority which has given me leadership skills, volunteer opportunities, and friends for life. Apart from school and Kappa Delta, I love to work out and do athletic events. My favorite thing to do is swimming. I started out swimming competitively in high school and continue to swim for fun to this day! Something new and exciting that is happening in my life will occur in November. I will be leaving to serve a mission in Argentina. I can't wait to serve my mission and spread the word of Christ. Without him, I would not be who I am today. None of what I am is possible without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being LDS aka Mormon. It has brought me so much happiness in my life and I couldn't be any more grateful for this happiness. Christ is at the center of everything that we do in this gospel. We look to Him in everything! I love that I can have Christ by my side and I know that this is His gospel.

How I live my faith

The best way that I know how to live my faith is by living as Jesus Christ would live. Although I am not perfect, I live with Him as my example. When faced with a tough situation, I try to have the light of Christ in what I am doing.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Haley
Baptism is an essential principle necessary to return to God and achieve the highest degree of salvation. On Earth we follow Christ's example and get baptized. We believe in baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. This normally occurs right after conversion to the church or at the age of eight. But, not everyone gets a chance to get baptized in this life. Those who are worthy can go to an LDS temple and be baptized in the place of another. The deceased person can then decide if they want to accept this gift that has been given to them. Show more Show less
