Hi I'm Rod Polson

I'm a Grandfather of six and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are happily married for 35 years. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. I am an Industrial Engineer for the Boeing Company and enjoy gem and lapidary work as well as building our dream lake house cabin. I also enjoy riding jet skis and dirt bikes when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found that activily trying to live the teaching of Christ has brought me great fullfilment and joy. As I seek for guidance in my live from the scriptures and prayer it helps me to be a better husband, father and neighbor. I am more willing to help and serve others and avoid the self centeredness that the world seems to teach. I have found through study, pondering and personal prayer that Heavenly Father does care about us and answers our prayer. As we seek to know what is right and true He does help us know and understand through the enfluence of the Holy Ghost. That has come to me by feelings and prompting. It is accompanied by a warmth and assurance within me. I am a Mormon because I believe God has restored his gospel and authority on the earth again through modern day Prophets. My personal prayers in seeking truth have been answered and I find great joy and peace in following the teaching of Christ from the Bible, Book of Mormon and words of our current Prophet. I believe that all of us are children of our loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to be happy and grow to become more like Him. I know that through the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ we may be forgiven of our sins as we repent and seek to follow Him. I testify that only through Christ can we enjoy eternal life with our Heavenly Father and enjoy eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by the way I live my life each day. By understanding that each of us are children of our loving Heavenly Father it helps me conduct myself and treat others in a more respectful way. I try to look for ways to help my neighbors or strengthen those that are having a difficult day. I especially enjoy working with teenagers and young adults in our community. I am activily involved with a young adult congregation for our Church and have been involved with the Boy Scout organization and Boys and Girls clubs over the years.
