Hi I'm Keavin

I made a small decision to go to a Ricks college. Now I have a wonderful wife, 3 beautiful kids and enjoy life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a dad, a dentist and college professor by trade and a normal everday guy. I love spending time with my wife and kids. My time is spent playing soccer, baseball, jumping on the trampoline or just playing what my kids want. I have traveled Europe and the United States, graduated professional school and learned that my happiest moments are exploring with my children the fascinations of life (bugs, playgrounds, toys etc.).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I decided as a teenager that I wanted more security and organization in my life. I grew up going to summer bible schools, learning about God and his commandments. I knew the basics. When I decided to really study the Bible and Book of Mormon, I realized that God loved me and had a vested interest in my happiness and joy on this earth. He loves me like my dad and mom do. I am amazed still today that God loves me entirely, despite my shortcomings, and wants me to continue to find the blessing He has for each of us now. I have to pray and read my scriptures everyday to find those blessings. I am amazed that as I spend time with my own parents, I get to know them better and realize how much they bless my life. When I spend time with God, in prayer, at church or serving others, I then realize how he blesses me. I want to pass that to my kids. I want to teach them that time, study, love and prayer will afford them greater blessings in their lives. I want them to inherit from me the realization that their is a God, who loves them for who they are and wants them to become even better, more accomplished tomorrow.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by praying and reading holy scriptures everyday. I volunteer and donate time and money to local charities routinely. At church I wake up everyday to teach high school kids, before school, about the Old Testament. I am excited to correlate Old Testament events to things teenagers go thru today! Now that I have kids in elementary school, my wife and I volunteer there, helping our teachers to teach more effectively. Living my faith is easy. I just do it. See a need, help. We make the time to be observant of those around us, so we can listen to what our conscience tells us we should do. Then we act on it. We really are everyday people, trying to be like our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
