Hi I'm nancy

I'm a Mormon. . I have been widowed twice a mother of four kids 10 grandchildren and am a breast cancer survivor.

About Me

Fifth generation Mormon. Mother of 4 awesome adopted kids and a grandmother of 10. Love to listen to people talk about there lives and how they have over come trials. Love animals, nature, laughter of my family, cooking, a passion for canning food and good up lifting music like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I use to be a cosmetologist and had my own shop but sold it to stay home and be a wife and mom. Never was sorry for that choice. I take care of my sweet 92 year old mom. Had breast cancer 10 years ago and went through radiation that damage my breast so I had to have a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. I am great full for each day and try to live and love life to the fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ blesses my life with the understanding of the purpose of life. That we lived before we came to earth with our Heavenly Father, we are here for a wonderful purpose, and we will live after death. What a comfort that is since death has been a big part of my life. My dad died when I was 7 and I had a sweet spirit that gave me comfort of peace that all will be okay. As I grew up I realized that the sweet spirit was the spirit of the Lord. It has comforted me many times since then as I have lost 2 wonderful husbands to death and have had to over come breast cancer and all the other trials that every day life has. There is a great peace that comes from knowing you are a child of God and are so loved. That you and you a lone have a great roll to play in Heavenly fathers plane you have purpose in this life that no one but you can do. It brings my soul great joy to know that I will see my beloved love ones again. Jesus Christ is the only way to find that peace and joy in a world with so much sadness. I am thankful I can look heavenly and know that Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ are all ways there for each of us as trials come into and out of our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Jesus Christ's example to serve others. My husband and I were foster parents for unwed mothers for 14 years. We had 28 girls that lived with us as they were trying to decided to keep or place there babies up for adoption ( this was a service we did with out being paid money). I have worked with the youth in the church ( girls from 12 to18) for 25+ year .Went to girls camp for 28 years. I have worked in scouting and cub scouts. Me and another sister visit 3 other sisters in the church once a month to see how they are doing and give them a spiritual message. I help my neighbors when they are in need. There is a great love that comes when you serve others. I now serve in the Mesa AZ temple where families are sealed for time and all eternally. My family is my greatest joy and who I serve each day. My faith has taught me how to serve others with love, understanding and has given me a great desire to follow the Savor.
