Hi I'm Christina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second child out of four in my family and I have two amazing parents who are converts to the church. Half of my family is from Bolivia and the other half is from Puerto Rico. This interesting mix has created a crazy hispanic family that I have been so lucky to be a part of. Growing up, my family moved around a lot and I had the opportunity to meet many people with different values and beliefs who have influenced my life in such a great way. Because of this exposure from an early age, I love surrounding myself with diverse groups of people and enjoy learning from others' culture. I'm currently taking a break from school to serve a full-time mission in Ukraine. I will have the opportunity to first move to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah for about three months and learn how to speak Ukrainian. I will then move to Ukraine for about 18 months and share the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the people of Ukraine. I can't wait for this life-changing experience!

Why I am a Mormon

I consider my religion to be one of the biggest blessings in my life. I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it has blessed my life in many ways. This church has shown me the purpose of life and what it really is about. Through this church I have constantly been surrounded by people who are great examples to me and who are true Christians. I have learned the importance of serving those around me and have felt the power of love by surrounding myself with uplifting people. I'm a Mormon because I want to lead others by example and share the happiness that I have found from this church.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints makes it very easy for me to live my faith. As members, we all have the opportunity to serve each other in different ways as we are called to be Sunday school teachers, choristers, youth leaders, etc. These inspired duties for each member are also known as "callings". With each calling comes great blessings and experiences that makes every second of serving worth it. Aside from the many service opportunities that have come my way, I live my faith by trying to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ in everything that I do. By using His life as a blueprint for my own, I know that I will come closer to feeling the unconditional love He feels for every person in this world. I know this will give my life a greater purpose and meaning in the end as I constantly remind myself that love conquers all.
