Hi I'm Laurel

I've lived in washington state for more than 30 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I love to play the piano, play with my grandchildren, and spend time with my husband. I've been a teacher for a co-op preschool since my youngest child went to kindergarten.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a Mormon family. I felt the joy my parents had as they followed the gospel of Jesus Christ and taught our family to do the same. I wanted that same joy for myself and my family. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He lived, and died for me. I know this because I have read and studied the scriptures, and prayed to know for myself. I also know that the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored in it's fullness by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have prayed to Heavenly Father to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet. It is my testimony the he is. We have a living prophet today. I do my best to follow him. I believe the Prophet Thomas S. Monson receives revelation from God, and speaks for Him.

How I live my faith

I have always been busy in my church. It is wonderful to be able to play the piano or organ for church services or teach a class of young people in an early morning religious class. I've had the privelege of doing these things and things like this my whole life. I've been the president of our children's church and the our women's organization. Right now I'm the secretary for our Women's organization.
