Hi I'm Kanani Mann

I'm a multicultural girl who is a BYU graduate, loves to serve others and share my culture through dance and song and I'm a mormon

About Me

I grew up being a member of the church and I graduated with a BA in Latin American Studies at BYU. I come from a very diverse background. I am Hawaiian, chinese, puerto rican and causcasian. I grew up dancing hula since i was a little girl and ever since I love dancing everything!! I was the president of a multicultrual group while in college where I loved being able to share my cultures and testimony through danicng and signing. I've done a lot of traveling and I love every country and everywhere I go because of all the people i get to meet. I'm so thankful for all the opportunities that Heavenly Father has blessed me with because I have had amazing experiences through out my life. Thats why I love sharing with others what makes me happy and what helps me get through each day which is the Gosple of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly I'm a mormon because with out the gospel I would be lost. I would not know that I have a Heavenly Father who truly knows and loves me indiviually. I wouldnt know that I will live with my family for the eternities but with the gospel of Jesus Christ I know that I will have an eternal family and that Heavenly father wants me to be happy. We all know that life is hard. We have our ups and downs but WOW when i have those downs what a blessing it is to have hope and know that as long as I do my part in keeping the commandents I "WILL" receive blessings.

How I live my faith

I stive to follow what my parents have taught me, "Treat others how you want to be treated." As each day passes I try to be nice to other people even when they are rude and not nice to me and its not easy but through our example I know I can help change peoples lives and more importantly I can continue to change mine. I choose not to follow what the world teaches us about happiness where as I choose to follow the commandments which honestly makes me happy! I love sharing my talents with other and serving my fellow brothers and sisters. I have the opportunity each month to visit some sisters and take the time to talk with them and share an encouraging message to help them remember that our Heavenly Father does truly them and all of his children.

What is being a Mormon like?

Kanani Mann
WEll the honest truth its not always easy being mormon! I mean, people a lot of times make fun of you or try to make you do things you dont want to or even at times people treat you differnt or bad for being mormon. But I LOVE BEING MORMON!! I feel so happy knowing that when I'm going through some hards time I know that I can depend on my Heavenly Father, that if I do whats right and follow the counsel he has given me, he has a promise that he will bless me and anyone who follows his teaching and keeps the commandments. People in the world have this image of mormons and you know what we are all different we come from different backgrounds and cultures and we all have different personalities some like fashion some dont but the one thing that brings us together is the Gospel of Jesus Christ which teaches all of us that our Heavenly Father has a plan which is the Plan of Happiness. Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kanani Mann
At one time in my life I had the opportunity to serve a mission in Chile where I met amazing people! We serve missions and proselyte to share God's plan of happiness and spread the word that there is Living Propeht today who is a mouth piece for our Loving Heavnely Father. The Gosple that Jesus Christ taught while on the earth was lost after he was crucified but GUESS WHAT... His one and true Gosple has been restored and we want to share it with the entire world! Thats why we proselyte. Show more Show less
