Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a mom, a wife, a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 5, yet have never had the privilege of birthing any of them. I have a beautiful adopted daughter, that looks nothing like me and four wonderful step-sons. My boys look just like their daddy and my daughter is African-American. I love the looks we get when I take the kids to the store. I love music and have taught piano and flute for more than 15 years. I love spending time with my husband and children. While I hadn't ever planned to get married more than once, I'm so grateful for an incredible man that has helped show me there is life after divorce. I love living in the white mountains and feel lucky to be in Arizona, yet not have to deal with the heat :) We have enjoyed so many fishing, shooting, and camping trips all withing minutes of our home. My husband and I purchased a home that had LOTS of work to do. We have done 99% of the work ourselves and I have so enjoyed learning to use tools that I never even knew existed, as well as work side by side my husband and make our house a home.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the peace I'm able to feel in doing what I have been taught to be right. I believe the Lord does not give us more than we can handle and that there are so many lessons for us that make us stronger. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me personally and loves me and wants to succeed.

How I live my faith

I try to live by example. I don't expect others to do things that I'm not willing to do. I try to show my gratitude for the body that my Heavenly Father has given me, by following the word of wisdom. I enjoy family scriptures and prayer time. I love listening to my children pray and feel that I learn so much from them when they do. I teach my children what modesty is and encourage my children to remember that they are setting examples for each other and those around them. I love my family.
