Hi I'm Sara

I'm an aunt. I'm a nurse. I love to play sports. I love sudoku. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest and I love nature. My favorite place in the world is Island Park, Idaho and spending time with my family there. I adore my family; they are my best friends. I am an aunt of many and it is my favorite profession so far. I love playing sports and staying active. I also enjoy being competitive and I love to race my family in finishing sudokus or crosswords. I am a nurse and I really love being one. Being a nurse allows me to be constantly learning and able to serve others on a daily basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but that did not stop me from having doubts during younger years. Even though I was taught well in primary and by my parents, I knew that I could not live off their testimonies. I could not get by in life on borrowed light but I needed to have my own testimony. I was taught many of the basic doctrines and followed the commandments. I prayed and talked to God and asked if the church was true. I remembering always feeling good about after those times but I expected some big answer, some epiphany. The first time I think I really realized that I knew the church was true was when I was asked by an older member in church why I thought the church was true. I remember trying to think of a good and profound answer but nothing like that would come. All I can remember was thinking "There is no way it can't be" and being overwhelmed by the Spirit. I can honestly say it altered my life forever. The Gospel is so intertwined in my life. It affects all the facets and when I continue to be diligent and obedient, my life falls in paths better than I could have chosen and I am the most happy. I love the way the Gospel and the Atonement makes me want to be better. I always say things are going to work out like it is supposed to and because of Christ and His sacrifice, we are promised that and more. It humbles me that we get to learn so much about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and have the opportunity to works towards being like Them. It helps me see the good things in life and others. The Atonement brings so much hope in my life, it powers my faith to go through life. To enjoy life.

How I live my faith

I have had different opportunities to serve in the church. While in Seattle, I used to plan activities one to two times a month on Mondays, where large groups of young single adults come to interact and serve each other. Now I am currently working with the Institute, an organization that allows students and those working and living in the area to be able to take religion classes during the week. It is so fun and rewarding to see all the different people brought together with the Gospel.
