Hi I'm Susan

I'm a wife and mother. I'm a cancer survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of three teenagers. I am the wife of a wonderful man. I give a lot of my time to them, because they mean a lot to me. I love the beautiful mountains of Colorado. My first love in life was dancing, mostly ballet. I still like to stay active as much as I can. I traveled to Germany and back and have wanted to go back to visit more countries. I have taken a few years of piano lessons and am now currently taking voice lessons. I love beautiful music. This summer I received my 7 year "cancer free" diagnosis. It was wonderful news for myself and my family. I was left with a right arm disability that I will always have to live with, but it's not a big price to pay for the extra time I've been given with my family and friends. I love life and believe that it should be lived to it's fullest!

Why I am a Mormon

I was a baptist growing up because of my mother's beliefs. I was always religious and when my mom, brothers, sister and I moved to a new area, we were looking for a new church to attend. Our new neighbors invited us to their church and we learned the gospel truths. The more I learned the more it made sence to me. In my mind, everything I learned in this church, was like a puzzle where all the pieces fit together perfectly. All the other churches we had been to before had never felt as good as this one! This church offers me the opportunity to do the necessary things to be sealed to my family in a temple of God. This way, I can have them as my family, not just for this life (and we never know how long that will be) but forever! This church gives me the opportunity to serve and help others which brings me great joy! I am grateful to know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me!

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by attending church every sunday and trying to read the scriptures and praying often. I try to do everything I know God wants me to do. If I do, then after I die I can return home to live with him and my faimily. That is my greatest desire. Right now, I teach the youth in Sunday School. I enjoy teaching from the bible and other scriptures. I want our youth to know how much I love God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that through the prayers and faith of those in our congregation, and that of myself and my family, that I was healed of my cancer. I believe that God has a hand in our lives. I believe that he knows and loves each of us, individually. I know that we can have our prayers answered and we can receive his guidance and help for ourselves and our family. Even when times seem difficult, my faith and my family keep me going!
