Hi I'm Tana

I enjoy milking cows, feeling the wind in my hair, and I love my family! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 6 with number 7 due in a few months. That keeps me pretty busy! I love the quietness of the countryside. I enjoy making jam and homemade bread for the family, and getting together as often as we can. One of my favorite things has always been sitting out on the porch at night with my husband or other family member and just talking. I love archeology and gather books on it for a good read when I get some time. I also love to visit the ruins of the South West Indians. Someday I hope to visit the mounds in our Eastern States as well. I love Christmas, chocolate, classical music and violin fiddle tunes, cows, and snuggling a new grandchild. :)

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a very small child I remember being in a park with lots of trees. My father was stretched out on the grass with a book I saw him read many, many times over the years. In time I came to know it as the Book of Mormon. Dad and Mom held Family Night each Monday night. They taught us the stories of the Book of Mormon. We learned of Nephi, wicked King Noah, Samuel the Lamanite, etc. But especially of our Savior as He visited the Nephite's as He had promised. I remember the pictures of these stories. and gazing at them feeling the wonder of it all. One Family Night while in my teens, Dad handed us each our own leather bound copies of the Book of Mormon. I loved my copy. I remember reading it each day. One night as I was reading I came to the part of when our Savior visited the America's. I knew the story well. But it was different for me this time. The spirit testified so strongly to me that I KNEW. The tears flowed. I knew! I will always remember that night.

How I live my faith

I try to keep in mind how our Savior, Jesus Christ, sees all of us. I try to treat people around me in a way that would please our Savior. He loves us so much. One of the callings I was asked to do was helping members prepare physically in the area of food storage and emergency preparedness, as our Prophets over the years have counseled us to do. I have enjoyed that very much as I watch members become more self reliant and at peace as we go through these last days before Jesus Christ returns to us.
